How the guides are made
A city guide is a list of directory records tied to that city slug. It is not a claim that the list is complete, and it is not a ranked “best of.”
Records inherited from the 2025 directory keep their hours, prices, and activity names as earlier notes. The season year was not stored on those fields. They are labeled unconfirmed for 2026.
An official-page check means someone fetched the farm or ticket page on October 14, 2026 and wrote down the dates, address, or prices that page actually stated. A successful fetch of an unrelated paragraph is not a verification of every field. Unknowns stay unknown.
Activity pages match phrases in those activity strings. “Corn maze” in a note is not an audit that the maze is open. Dog mentions are not pet policies. Free admission is not a free pumpkin.
The same farm is one record. Two rows that share a website but describe different places are kept separate and cross-linked, because merging them would invent a single address.
Star ratings stored in the old file are not shown. They were not tied to a review we collected. Homepage cards for Rural Hill Farm and for Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm in Yorkville, Illinois were not directory rows. Wilkens is listed at the Yorktown Heights address on its own site. Rural Hill is not listed.
